Offers Two VPN Options | | Remote
User VPN: MegaPath implements the
VPN solution for remote users by setting up a VPN profile at the business' host
site, and assists with the installation and configuration of the VPN dial-up adaptor
for the remote user. During the installation at the remote location, MegaPath
ensures that TCP/IP connectivity is established through a PPTP tunnel to the corporate
host. In addition, if a business partner shares access to the VPN, our service
includes setting up filters to restrict the partner to specified company resources

| Branch
Office VPN: MegaPath deploys a LAN-to-LAN
(Local Area Network) VPN configuration by installing and configuring a router
at business' host site, and a second router at the branch office to support an
IPSec VPN connection. The service includes setting the appropriate profiles and
IP network configurations in both routers to establish TCP/IP routing. At the
time of installation, MegaPath ensures the business has TCP/IP connectivity from
one LAN to the other through the VPN connection. In addition, if a business partner
shares access to the VPN, our service includes setting up filters to restrict
the partner to specified company resources. |
| What do I need
to use MegaPath’s T1 Service? |
If
your business qualifies for T1 service, you will need a router and a CSU/DSU that
takes your LAN traffic and converts it to the T1 protocol and vice versa., MegaPath
supplies and supports the Netopia 5300 CSU/DSU + Router. This router/ CSU/ DSU
combo includes eight (8) Ethernet ports, NAT/PAT address translation to help ensure
security, an optional VPN feature and more.
